WOW Workshop Weekend: A Day Retreat Experience for Young Women of Color
Wonder of Women is excited to launch our workshop weekend program in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation. We are thrilled to provide a two day (Saturday & Sunday) experience with workshops that inspire participants to Recreate, Redefine and Realign with their life purpose.
WOW Workshop Weekend is a day retreat experience created for young women to recreate, redefine and realign with their purpose through storytelling workshops, exercises and supportive healing circles. The workshop weekend culminates with a fabulous beauty party and photoshoot celebration where every participant receives a certificate of recognition.
Wonder of Women believes in the power of love, light and liberation, Our mission is to create safe, sacred and secure experiences that provides space for women and girls to tell their story and intentional space for healing from past and present hurt, trauma and pain. Our speakers and facilitators have engaged this work and meet participants where they are with love and truth.
Community partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation has afforded us an opportunity to provide scholarships for 25 participants in two separate workshops that will be held at the Yesler Terrace Community Center: October 15-16. The Saturday experience is from 10am-6pm and Sunday's experience is from Noon-6pm. Our goal is to reach young women of color 18-40 and remove any barrier that prevents her from having this experience.Registration is required. Limited space available.
