About The Event

You're cordially invited to WOW Gallery for an engaging, educational, and soulfully delicious evening at the intersection of past and present. Living history and living well!

Join us to listen to Lisa McNair, the younger sister of Denise McNair, one of the four girls killed in the infamous 1963 bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Lisa will share the story of Denise’s life, her heinous murder, how it affected her parents and impacted the world. Lisa is a nationally known speaker who conducts anti-racism workshops to remind us how we must all remember that as human beings we have more things in common than we have that are different.

Wait! There's more... This powerful intimate talk with living history is paired with a soulfully delicious whole foods plant based meal prepared by Chef Chantel Jackson with an interactive talk and learn on how to live well…
