Divine Interaction: Opening Reception

This body of work focuses on the synthesis, sampling, and reordering of various forms of information, historical lexicons, and experiences.

Not only do these works represent life itself, but they represent the young black male’s interpretation of life.

These works are analog scrolls which illustrate the story of urbanization and technological advancements not only within black culture, but contemporary human culture. As humans, we tend to think we know a lot about the world we inhabit.

Part of my creative process is an attempt to show the human world how little we actually know about the way life works.

A good way to interpret my work is like a contemporary hip hop producer sampling an old disco song to make a new trap beat.
