About The Event

Please take the time to watch the movie YOU PEOPLE  before you come.

https://www.netflix.com/title/81194505

Our mission is to create a space of beloved community for Blacks and Jews that invites storytelling and truth-telling for education, connection and healing.

We will be discussing how to create a meaningful relationship between members of the Black and Jewish community, using the film “You People” as a springboard for discussion. You People is not a deep film, some might even find parts of it offensive. However, the film boldly articulates the tensions that have characterized the Black-Jewish relationship for decades, and therefore, we believe, will be a good catalyst for meaningful conversation. The larger, long term goal is to create more opportunities for the Black and Jewish communities to get to know one another.
